Give the ground a mind.
GeoMind Robotics is developing bio-inspired robots for subsurface access and sensor placement. Our first product, DIGGER, aims to make the ground easier to measure—and the decisions built on it better informed.
THE NEXT FRONTIER 001
What lies beneath shapes everything above.
Critical decisions depend on measurements from places we cannot see.
Yet creating each new measurement point can still call for a drilling rig, a crew, and significant site disruption. GeoMind is working toward a more compact way to reach, instrument, and understand the ground.
FIRST PRODUCT DIGGER
Robotic access for subsurface monitoring.
DIGGER
DIGGER is a compact, bio-inspired burrowing system in development for placing sensors below ground. The concept pairs a reusable robotic core with modular sensing payloads, so a smaller field operation could open more points of observation.
Deployable Intelligent Ground-burrowing and General-purpose Extensible Robot
CURRENT STAGE
Research mechanisms have been demonstrated in the lab. The next proof is a repeatable, accepted sensor placement in the field.

FROM ACCESS TO INSIGHT 002
The GeoMind approach
01
Access
Use bio-inspired robotic movement to reach subsurface locations with a compact system.
02
Place
Position sensors where measurements can answer an engineering question.
03
Learn
Connect ground measurements with analysis that supports clearer decisions over time.
OUR VISION 003
A future where the ground is no longer a blind spot.
We envision robotic access expanding from mine tailings and coal ash to dams, levees, transportation, foundations, and other places where timely subsurface information matters. The long-term platform joins robotic motion, modular payloads, and ground data into a clearer picture beneath our feet.
BUILT FROM RESEARCH 004
Born at Arizona State University. Built for the world.
GeoMind Robotics is an Arizona State University spinout advancing robotics for geotechnical engineering. DIGGER is our first step toward a broader platform for sensing, data, and ground intelligence.
